GASBBT TRAINING 5/24-5/30

One of my training partners.
I totaled 84 miles this week. I trained in only the best places. I rode 28 miles from the Coolin turnoff to Nordman and back. I averaged 16.8 mph in light wind. The weather was perfect and the pine scent of Priest Lake filled the air. Next, I rode a pleasant 13 with my best training buddy (Stumpy). Finally, starting at the bronze runners in River Front Park, I rode a pleasant 43 miles along the Centenni Trail into the wind for lunch at the Moontime Cafe in Cda, ID. So far, so good.
In the days before fitness mattered, I would have enjoyed a cool one sitting at the classic bar, but today I just turned around, sipping water as I left.

GASBBT Training 5/15-5/23

120 miles for the week. 45 down and back the Yakima Canyon. 21 on the Hangman Loop. 12 on the Ridge Loop. 25 to Lion Head road's end. 17 to Coolin and back. Most of the riding was with my cousin Douglas, although a pleasant twelve was done with my Bunny. So far, so good. LIGET

First Pannier Load

Packing for a bike trip involves a series of packing and repacking both to insure everything is accounted for and also that the load is balanced, which is silly because everything gets reorganized once the trip begins. Essentially, the entire load is re packed daily.

Gear Layout

For the most part, my long tested gear seems fine. I may spring for a long boy sleeping pad, but aside from a few bike supplies (Tube, tire, etc), the medical supplies, and some food stuffs, what you see is what will go.
