Jordan Pond, an idyllic spot encircled by carriage roads built by the Rockefeller family. Just imagine the elegant elite gently gliding along on a warm summer day.

Bar Harbor/Acadia Car Tour 9/7 120 mi
We took advantage of a beautiful Labor Day to join the throng of tourists in Bar Harbor. We enjoyed a self guided historical walking tour, a nice cup of coffee at the Choco-Latte, and a drive through Acadia National Park, which included a stop at Jordan Pond and a scouting trip to Cadillac Mountain. Everything pointed to why the filthy rich vacationed here in the last century. We've set our alarm for 3 A.M. We plan to be atop Cadillac Mountain to watch the sunrise. Because UPS misrouted Ed's bike, we won't begin riding until sometime Wed. This means we'll have the whole day tomorrow to tour Bangor. No worries for two retired guys. We certainly realize that life is good, especially today. Until we meet again, say , "Good Morning, Grace."
