Spokane-Denver-Chicago-Bangor 9/6 2,826 mi.

First hop successful. I passed much of the first flight suspended in a nicely relaxed state of rhythmic breathing. We're now playing map boys, trying to figure an easy way to use our phones' map feature. We skipped easily into Chucago on time. Edwardo is up to his time honored tricks. I'm carrying one of his panniers and I've also added the first section of the paper map. I might try to find a couple chunks of New England granite to sneak into his pack. We made the last hop of our triple jump to Bangor. The flights were uneventful, and as always, I'm amazed that I'm now clear across thr US of A.
